In space no one can hear your beauty
Critical Photo series to deal with fast-moving beauty trends . The fast implementation of new beautytrends set by the industry does not stop to extend to major procedures such as surgery . Perfect people in adverts and magazines stir up the illusion of a world in which everything has to be perfect . With these photos , we 'd like to deal with this theme in a way that leaves no doubt that these images were manipulated and digitally altered, in the hope to sharpen the awareness of the viewers a little bit not to consider every image as Real, and to realize that also other photos , though less obviously, can be manipulated and changed.

entry description
Beauty as a commodity, the body as a construction site of interchangeable components. Botox to go or a quick breast job. Ones' own body as a playground for fast-paced beauty trends. If it does not fulfill expectations, no matter, just go back under the knife. Always on the hunt for eternal youth and perfection. And what is next? - The other I as a suit? The whole body as a dress? - In space no one can hear your beauty!Critical Photo series to deal with fast-moving beauty trends . about the photographer
Frank Bayh and Steff Rosenberger-Ochs, or simply Frank & Steff, work together as a photographers duo since 2004. In addition to their commercial work for fashion and advertising clients from all around the world, the two artists have also made a name in the photographic art scene with their staged photo spreads for which they already received numerous international prizes and awards. The perfect symbiosis of male and female perspective on their subject, as well as the approach as "one photographer in two bodies" result in images with a very own distinctive style.back to gallery
