Art Of Peace
Images combine collaboration of multiple artists and 13 models from various former Soviet Union countries as well as America. Featuring body art designs by Lana Chromium and Evgola and creative styling and photography by Diana Luckysova.
As you may see from the symbols used in our photographs (barb wire and chains are binding the intricate symbolic art designs on the skin of young women). We aim to bring the message of fragility of peace and freedom, by featuring a child with a painting of peace sign in Ukrainian flag colors and heavy chains representing ignorance and aggression, which has nothing to do with nationality, but everything with intolerance and informational warfare seen all around the world today.
A themed calendar (along with many more images from this series) full of thoughtful quotes ranging from Dalai Lama to John Lennon was created for this project to inspire thoughtful communication and is available for sale as a part of fundraiser on one of my websites: www.artstreamsandiego.com.
Special thanks for Yuliya Georgieva for sponsoring and directing this project as well to all those who took a moment to reflect and participate in the dialogue we have started.
Originally from Ukraine I came here in 2005 and fell in love with photography, the beauty of local people and the country itself.
My specialty is creative portraiture. No matter what subject I photograph I always try to find something original about it. I like to establish a connection with my customer, ask them about their life, what they like, to better describe their unique personality with my photographs.
Even though I have been making travel and portrait photos for almost a decade I still learn from every single photo-shoot and improve the quality of my images all the time.
My style is often dreamy and vintage like, which I achieve with lighting and my lenses, but I do not use too much editing, as I believe the fads come and go, but timeless, simple look will always be appreciated by the next generations.
