A modern, darker twist on the classic artistic inspiration: Ophelia. Shot at a lake over a number of days in the South of France, using stark strobe lighting in an attempt to escape the familiar representations of Shakespeare's tragic character. The title comes from a combination of Ophelia's own description of herself ("I was the more deceived") and from Gertrude's description of her, after her suicide ("Divided from herself").back to gallery
