Early Photographs
Remembering that the American Dream once existed, and possibly still does somewhere, drives me to walk thousands of miles from the break of dawn through today's city streets searching for particular moments before they are forever lost in the now.
At any other time the modern day distractions are deafening. The early morning light paints the quiet world with glowing hues and the air is old and everything is breathing it with a certain rhythm.
Each morning is a different frame of mind spent in some place new, somehow familiar. Within them are serendipitous alignments of many uncontrollable elements that cannot be recreated anywhere else other than for that exact moment when everything is just right.
He's walked thousands of miles through city streets from the break of dawn collecting glimpses to the past on his daily explorations of a momentary world hidden in the noise of the modern day.
Nowadays, most people are bombarded and captivated by the distractions of today. From adverts, to iPhones, Chad's project aims to remind us of a time back when and to again appreciate all that is in our surroundings, most often what is wonderfully hidden in plain sight.
