entry description
This photo set shows the vanishing culture of tattoo-face Chin tribes and their living style and costume in Myanmar. Tattoo-face culture is vanishing and it is not sure to see in future because nowadays, young Chin girls don't like their faces tattooed. All photos were taken at a village near Mindat, Chin State in Myanmar.about the photographer
I’m a self-taught and amateur photographer from Myanmar. I was born in Taungdwingyi in Magway division of Myanmar 1984. At 19, after graduating from Institute of Marine Technology, I went to the sea as a seafarer. After spending 9 years of profession as a seafarer, I met two of my seafarer friends who were passionate for photography and they just introduced me to the photography. Then, I felt into photography and I realized that it was my real passion. I just started learning photography from Digital Camera World photography websites and Digital Photography School websites. My first international prize of First Place Winner in 2014 China-Asean International Photo Festival (Maritime-Silk Road) made me move further in my photography journey. I've won some prizes in international and local photography competitions. I love traveling and believe photography helps people to see and feel.back to gallery
