Holi is a Hindu religious festival of colors. The ritual of Holi came from ancient practice of "Holika Bonfire" the before Holi celebration. It is widely celebrated in many different parts of India. Bangladesh also has a long tradition of commemorating this event each year by Hindu communities living here. People from all walk of life participate in the carnival with colors. They throw color to each other. The celebration lasts till the evening. The festival symbolizes conquest of good over the evil spirits bringing a new relationship with each other.about the photographer
Mohammad Rakibul Hasan holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Photojournalism from Ateneo de Manila University and also graduated in Film & Video Production from UBS Film School at the University of Sydney. Hasan was nominated for the Joop Swart Masterclass, UNICEF Photo of the Year, short-listed in the Ian Parry scholarship, Sony World Photography Awards in professional category, finalist in Contemporary Talents Competition 2014 organized by Foundation Francois Schneider and achieved several accolades in photography worldwide. His work has been published in numerous international magazines and also exhibited in several countries. He is currently studying Art History through an online program at the University of Oxford.
