Education: Muskegon Community College
I have been creating art since I was old enough to hold a pencil or ink pen. Through recent years I wanted to add another skill, so attended courses in black and white photography and fell in love with the dark room. There I learn that photography and painting are two distinct and separate art forms. In painting my hand is evident and nobody thinks my painting is the literal truth, but photography is subjective and places us in direct contact with reality.
Lessons Learned:
Having the determination to be true to myself by producing images that combine my skills as a painter and the camera body, while looking through the view finder for a subject that would have an impact upon the individual viewer. Having the drive to continue without being effected by other influence and rejection, when the doors appear not to opening.
