Penang Bridge
I am a self-taught fine art photographer now focusing on the Landscape's and Seascape's of Penang, and wider Malaysia.
For me, photography is about interpreting the landscape rather than simply documenting the scene. In some cases, this may be at the expense of some of the superfluous details but what you see, is what was really there, but I attempt to keep images as minimal as possible.
From this, I have developed a great passion for black and white photography, as this removes all color distraction and allows the subject to be viewed with minimal distraction.
Of course, I do shoot color images, but only where without its inclusion an aspect of the story is lost.
Additionally, I feel that it is important, that as much as possible is captured within the frame of the camera and not being dependent on the post-processing processes to improve a poor photograph. This is essentially what photography is, and to me should be.

entry description
Penang Bridge is the longest in Asia and has only been surpassed recently but its second bridge located further south. This is the link between the idyllic island of Penang and the rest of Malaysia and Asia. However, as you cross over on to the island you can feel that you are somewhere special and unique.about the photographer
My home is the northern Malaysian island of Penang, which includes the World UNESCO site of George Town. This old and decaying city provides great inspiration. From the local fishing villages and beaches to the old and cramped city center there are numerous visually inspiring moments.I am a self-taught fine art photographer now focusing on the Landscape's and Seascape's of Penang, and wider Malaysia.
