Bubble Girl
I decided to get my camera out and just start shooting for the day and see what I could get that said "Fourth of July". When I saw one of the kids in the family, little Isabella, start playing with bubbles I thought this was a great opportunity. But I had no idea just how great. I asked her if she could start blowing bubbles so I can take some photos of her. Of course being the little diva she is she was very excited to take pictures. I started capturing some really great stuff. Then I moved on back into the house to join other family members. When I turned around to look back out of the glass doors I saw this and quickly grabbed my camera to capture it. Sometimes you just have to wait for those little unexpected moments to capture something really beautiful.
This might not necessarily say "Fourth of July" right off the bat but I think about how it makes me feel. I feel warmth and light, I feel childhood fun and innocence, family and happiness. That is my first impression from this photo and this is what I want all of my Fourth of July's to feel like.

about the photographer
My name is Brittney and I live and work in the New York City. I started taking pictures in middle school with small Sony cybershot cameras and the love for photography has only grown since then. I freelance as a photographer now and work at a startup creating photo and video content for social media and internal company needs. I love capturing fleeting moments and that's the best thing about having a camera in hand. It's being able to capture beautiful moments and then share it with others.back to gallery
