Aidan's World
The photography journey has been a magical one, and after years of being behind the camera it has led me to taking this photo, which I believe holds what I have been trying to capture. A story told, from multiple perspectives. I got down on Aidan's level and captured what he saw. His father's legs, and a helping hand. Initially, that was all I wanted to capture - Aidan's vantage point. Upon taking the photo and looking closer, I realize that it tells the story of a family (note the wedding ring) raising a child right. Barefoot in the beautiful outdoors, getting supportive attention.
It fascinates me how I can find so much more to a photograph after I take the shot. Initially an attempt to capture the vantage point of a child, this photo has revealed many layers to me long after taking it. The best part though, when you think about it, is that all I intended to do at the beginning of the day was go on an adventure into the woods with two good friends, their son, and a camera. The magic had yet to reveal itself.

entry description
This photo means a lot to me. Photography has been an incredible learning curve, from learning the science inside the camera to what makes a photo great. Lighting. Composition. The Subject. What does the picture say? What doesn't it say? Does it tell a story? Does it ask a question? Does it stir emotion inside the viewer? From the moment I picked up a camera, these topics have fascinated and driven me.The photography journey has been a magical one, and after years of being behind the camera it has led me to taking this photo, which I believe holds what I have been trying to capture.
