entry description
Light. It is elusive, stunning, and constantly changing. With these three words/phrases in mind, I set out to photograph the fleeting light of day over Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. Following in the footsteps of one of my idols—Ansel Adams—I decided to photograph in high-contrast black and white. Knowing that Adams had photographed the Tetons decades before I was born, I decided to search for shots of the mountains that were off the beaten path. At seventeen years old, I was limited in my range, but determined to capture the ever-varying light over Wyoming.about the photographer
Hey! My name is Eli; I am a current sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying History and Visual Studies (Fine Arts & Neuroscience). My passion for photography extends back to when I was fourteen-years-old and I hope to one day turn this passion into a full-fledged career. For now though, I am more than content with learning and experimenting with my camera as I find my unique, artistic voice. I hope you derive something meaningful from my photographs and if you have any questions feel free to reach out—eliricanati@gmail.com!back to gallery
