Rosse Point Lighthouse
I had to work quick as the tide was going out fast. I took 3 shots. 1 straight shot to keep the lighthouse sharp and 2 long exposures.
I blended the straight shot with one of the Long Exposures and ended up with above end result.
Owen took up photography in 2007 after an Easter break to Amsterdam. While there, he and his wife Joy visited numerous art museums. He was blown away with what he saw. Dutch masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt. Their paintings looked like photos. He knew he would never be able to paint like these, so he decided to buy a camera and try to take photographs in their style where possible.
Owen's style has changed since then and his images now are more serene, calm and minimal.

I love attempting minimal captures. The minute I saw this lighthouse, I knew exactly the shot I had in mind.I had to work quick as the tide was going out fast. I took 3 shots. 1 straight shot to keep the lighthouse sharp and 2 long exposures.
I blended the straight shot with one of the Long Exposures and ended up with above end result.
