Midday Light
I was explaining on how to use ND Filters and how they can control exposure.
I set this shot up at Midday using a 16 Stop filter. The sun was to camera right and was belting down on us.
The clouds were slow moving so I decided on an 8 min exposure. I didn't think I would get anything good, but was very happy when I got home and viewed it properly.
Owen took up photography in 2007 after an Easter break to Amsterdam. While there, he and his wife Joy visited numerous art museums. He was blown away with what he saw. Dutch masters such as Vermeer and Rembrandt. Their paintings looked like photos. He knew he would never be able to paint like these, so he decided to buy a camera and try to take photographs in their style where possible.
Owen's style has changed since then and his images now are more serene, calm and minimal.
