AT THE END OF THE RAINBOW
Surprisingly, it was only 'discovered' in 2015 by a group of backpackers, as it had been previously covered with ice! This mountain is not only uncommon and fascinating, but is also a powerful reminder of the impact of climate change around the world.
I was astounded by the generosity and whole-heartedness of the locals, some of which had not seen many people from outside of Perú before. The mountain has allowed them to connect with people from other places, and to showcase their culture and their colours to the world. In this photo I tried to reflect their joy, triggered by this amazing natural discovery. The beauty of this mountain has certainly changed their lives for good and hopefully it has unlocked a promising future for everyone living around it. Breathtaking!"
His images have captured the essence of remote places and radiant landscapes, portraits and scenery, which have been a source of inspiration for millions around the world.

“It was a sunny morning near the summit of Vinicunca Mountain in the Peruvian Andes. The 'Seven Coloured Mountain', or 'Rainbow Mountain' as the locals call it is located 5,200 meters (17,000 ft) above sea level and has the peculiarity of displaying various minerals on its surface, creating beautiful lines and patterns that make it unique in the world.Surprisingly, it was only 'discovered' in 2015 by a group of backpackers, as it had been previously covered with ice!
