A life in balance
Along the lake, which measures 22 km long by 10 km wide, are built wooden stilt houses and floating gardens.
Mostly, the life there is based on the water.
Intha people move across the lake by boat.
The fishermen have a unique rowing style. From the distance they seem like elegant flamingo with one leg wrapped around their boat.
They are acrobats in perfect balance, they have to make coordinated movements/gestures in order to live.

about the photographer
Born (1980) and raised in Italy. During his teen he discovered the world of CG. After graduated at Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome he started to work as visual effect artist and later as CG Supervisor. Between 2008-2010 he moved to Milan, Stockholm, Madrid, Toronto where worked for few VFX companies as lighting artist. Since 2011 he relocated to Singapore where he’s currently working for ILM. Because of his job he has always been interested in photography and imaginary in general, but since he moved in Asia he wanted to explore a new form of photography that he never considered before like street and travel. The reason is partially due to the daily job as a vfx lighting artist where he has full control of every aspect of the image, and partially because Singapore was the first asian country he has been to. That opened his visual mind and pushed towards travel and street photography. Opposite to the day job street photography is completely off his hands, he can’t control what happens, but he can snap and freeze ordinary moments and make them extraordinary.back to gallery
