entry description
Everybody seems to talk about Las Vegas as if it was a must-see. All I remember from my trip there is the people in the casinos, and especially the ones on the slot machines. Here there were, by a bright sunny day outside, pressing buttons to hear the enchanted jingles and buzzes of the games. Each of the countless machines sings her own hypnotizing tune. But no more banging coins––all you get is a barcode for the cashier. One might win, but eventually one lose it all. While I was myself losing 20 dollars to get my cherries and bananas aligned, I couldn’t stop thinking: Where did we lost ourselves on the road?
