entry description
Winter Wonderland is more of an experiment but it worked very well in my favor. The process I took to achieve this composition involved an off camera flash set on a tripod behind a cluster of trees while it was a light snow fall going. The result is what you see before. The light behind said trees give a mysterious feeling to the viewer. They wonder what is creating the light behind the trees and wish to continue around the corner.about the photographer
My name is Jacob Letourneau. I attended Colby-Sawyer College from 2011 to 2015 studying mostly photography but also dabbled in other art forms such as drawing and sculpture. My style of photography is a sense of darkness and mystery. I have incorporated this idea into many of my photographs and even some of my other art. I have been asked if I have dark thoughts or a dark personality but this is not the case. I am simply intrigued by dark and mysterious images and ideas. The sense of wonder and unknown in the darkness fascinates me and I want to share that fascination with those who view my work. This is what I base my photographs on. I want to evoke the human nature to wonder and be curious. That driving force in us to try and understand the unknown as well as our nature to be fearful of it.back to gallery
