Feral Haunts, My Restless Nights
Dreams have fuzzy boundaries with our unspoken depths, that fantasy world of near darkness. Blurry yet vividly clear. They stir strong emotions, paving our way to an almost godly connection to an all-too-familiar underworld. Confused lights, hazed and so sweetly agitated. So near, too.
Blessed are those smiling dreams; woe to you haunting nightmares, incoming tide of pseudo-danger in the most vulnerable of moments. And shame on me, wasting energy fighting my own mind in this closed-loop, feral trap full of familiar strangers. Will the music of my heart and the drumbeat of my soul wake me?
On this journey, these self-created ghosts will roam free. Until sunrise, that is.
This series is a fiction shot around the theme of dreams. The characters may be asleep or half-conscious, haunted by the shadows around them. To add to the confusion, it is not always clear whether the dream is peaceful or agitated, or somewhere in-between. Sometimes, the images may even depict a dream by the viewer who is brought into a “second world” both familiar and slightly anxiety-provoking and where nothing is entirely real, nor completely false.
