entry description
A capture of my beautiful wife Michelle in the tradition of film noir, neo-noirism and the best in film noir cinema 1920-1940's. The image was taken in my studio using two lights and a black background. The intention is to create a modern day film noir series - strongly in the tradition of Welles, Lang, Wilder and Ford. What would be labelled 'Hitchcockian' . but set in the present day. I tried to convey the psychological torment inherent within my wife's bipolar, exploring these shades of personality through my camera lens. I find Michelle perfect for the kind of work of my series - her face embodying the true essence of 'Neo-Noirism'.about the photographer
