entry description
On an approach to Miami International Airport, clear skies gave way to a massive thunderhead hugging the coast of Florida. My Nikon D7500 was ready to go. I am a huge flight nerd and am glued to the window like a person flying for the first time, every single time I fly. On our approach to Miami International we came across an isolated thunderhead putting on quite a show. I pulled out the camera doing my best to find a balance between shutter and ISO to pull off a clear image with little glare. The cabin lighting was on and glaring against the plastic window cover. Which meant that I would have to essentially hug the window to block the light, time my shots with the bursts of lightning, and keep as steady as I could in slightly turbulent conditions. The result, an image sharp enough that it appears to be taken outside of the plane. I was not surprised to be greeted by a thunderstorm, thunderstorms are extremely common in Miami, Florida. Almost feeling like a welcome after a long, uneventful flight.about the photographer
A former full time insurance professional, part time photographer. Who just took the plunge into full time photography with the recent acceptance of a job as a real estate photographer. I've been absolutely fascinated with cameras from a very young age. From old school video (with a VCR slung over my shoulder), to drone, action camera, and DSLR photography. I've always been behind a lens. My favorite type of shot to go after is natural landscapes, by far. I love the adventure, hike or journey, just as much as capturing the moment on my Nikon D7500 camera. Still trying to budget for a full frame sensor camera but still have much to love about my D7500. I am loving the full manual functionality, control, and performance of the camera. It gets the job done and has greatly surpassed my expectations of the camera when first purchased.Always learning and working very hard to reach into the professional side of photography.
