Time's Arrow
“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”

entry description
A photograph I took on a train ride, many years ago on a cold morning in Transylvania, that still stands very close to my heart. It reminds me of the quote: "Time's arrow neither stands still nor reverses. It merely marches forward."about the photographer
I am a Hungarian-born amateur photographer, based in the United States. Photography represents my favorite form of self-expression, I also enjoy writing music. I'm mostly a fan of black and white photography and the Lomography movement. In a nutshell, I believe that the following Susan Sontag quote encapsulates best what this art form means to me:“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”
