entry description
Taken as the setting sun lit up Ibex Dunes in Death Valley National Park, this panorama is the product of four separate images composited together semi-manually in Photoshop (the program refused to automatically merge all four images, likely due to sand grains being indistinguishable from one another and the fact that wind shifted them about from one frame to another). Though the panorama was originally in color, I converted the final image to black and white in order to accentuate the dune's flowing form and the subtle tonal gradations among the shadows.about the photographer
I am currently a sophomore at Rice University, and I first embraced photography when I was 11 years old. Since that day when I first held a Canon t2i in my hands, I have felt a responsibility to celebrate our world by capturing incredible moments and sharing my artistic vision with others. In my landscape photography, my style hinges on producing large, multi-row panoramas in order to best complement the impressive scenes I come upon and to bring their grandeur to life.back to gallery
