Glory
People from Scanno, during the previous weeks, use to build 8 metres high, more or less, wooden column called "Glorie" ("Glories"). Then, at night, columns are burnt, so as to create the effect showed.
During the celebrations, knowledge and tradition are mixed and handed down from the oldest to the youngest inhabitants: no matter how old you are, you are always able to do as much as you can to bring on your own tradition and be part of the Glory.
The picture comes from a project regarding popular traditions around my region: Abruzzo.
Precisely, my best shots, or those who I like to refer with these words, come from difficult moments which I was going through.
I can say that photography is my way to help myself.
