entry description
Partnering with a US based community health non-profit and a Haitian hospital, I photographed the on goings of health care in Haiti. With many limitations with staff and resources, people are still served. Patients live and die, like any hospital in the world. Doctors, nurses, and volunteers give everything they can to care and save patients, like any hospital in the world. Even with the drastic limitations this community faces, there are still protocols, lunch breaks, filing systems, birth, and death. Laughing in the hallways, high fives between janitorial staff and nurses, and even casual flirting with the security guards. We are so connected, in so many ways regardless of our cultural and economic difference.about the photographer
I am a humanitarian photographer who simply wants to change the perspective of the world by showing them something different. From drag queens, to people living in third world countries with Dementia, I am building my career so that I can positively impact others lives. I do that by either sharing their story, or educating someone on something that they don't understand. I photograph what I am passionate about and am working to start my life long goal of being a professional.back to gallery
