entry description
Protests have been continuing for 3 months with clashes between police and protesters occurring almost on a daily basis. A police officer stands guard outside Mong Kok Police Station, red paint thrown by protesters stains his shield. The protesters have been applauded for their ingenuity and persistence.about the photographer
I started my photography career in Melbourne, Australia. Focusing mainly on Street photography, releasing underground zines and exhibiting in galleries and photographic competitions around the city. Working also as an Emergency Nurse I took leave in August 2019 and travelled to Hong Kong to document the protests as a free lance journalist with the aim of having a gallery show in a few months time. I have had some of my photos published in Socius Magazine in Oslo and have been interviewed by the Guardian and China Underground. Having enjoyed the challenge and the rewards of photojournalism it is an area I would like to pursue i and am taking steps to hopefully enter photojournalism as another career.back to gallery
