entry description
Kyrgyzstan is a small and relatively unknown country located in landlocked Central Asia. It still struggles to find its economic independence after the collapse of the Soviet Union. Karakol is a small town on the shores of Issyk Kul lake and every Sunday morning it hosts the greatest animal market of the country. Villagers from nearby valleys travel for days to sell their animals. The market gives a good insight into the culture and the livelihood of Kyrgyz people and their rural life in its unadorned form. This picture was taken in the early morning hours and shows a proud goat that is waiting to meet its future owner.about the photographer
I was born in Milano back in 1983 and fell in love with analog photography when I was a young teenager. Today I live in London and my passion for photography is still alive and growing every day. I am particularly interested in street and documentary photography. I love the look and the feeling of analog pictures and the whole emotional process around it. Shooting film gives me special satisfaction and happiness.back to gallery
