The Common Dolphins are the key architects in South Africa's sardine run. They often travel in groups and could use cooperative strategies to drive the sardines into bait-balls, creating a feeding frenzy for different predators. This pod of dolphins, while showing off themselves in an underwater ballet, was actually heading towards a shoal of sardines, preparing for a battle for food frenzy.back to gallery
