entry description
I try to be as quiet and unseen as possible when photographing wildlife, but every once in a while an animal looks directly at me. This toucan barbet, photographed in Ecuador's Mashpi Reserve, gave me a look that seemed to say, "I see you. Now, what do you want?" I saw numerous stunning birds in Ecuador, but this one's coloring-- which enjoy clear delineations and blocks-- caught my attention.about the photographer
Multimedia journalist and storyteller focused on travel and wildlife conservation. My written work has appeared in two books and a wide range of top-tier American and British magazines and newspapers. My photography often appears alongside my digital articles, and I regularly publish them on my social media channels. I also work with conservation charities as a communications consultant and have been hired for a range of projects, from photographing a biodiversity survey in Mozambique to editing annual reports. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a masters of philosophy in conservation leadership, where I wrote my dissertation on "conservation storytelling," and am now based in London.back to gallery
