Imps of Darkness

entry description
My favorite Galapagos animal is, hands-down, the marine iguana. I know they huddle together for warmth, but they seemed as social as lions while sloppily piled onto one another, silent but for their periodic sneezes by which they eject salt water from their nostrils. Charles Darwin was right about a lot of things, but I disagree with his description of these lizards: “The black Lava rocks on the beach are frequented by large disgusting clumsy Lizards. They are as black as the porous rocks over which they crawl & seek their prey from the Sea. I call them 'imps of darkness.’”about the photographer
Multimedia journalist and storyteller focused on travel and wildlife conservation. My written work has appeared in two books and a wide range of top-tier American and British magazines and newspapers. My photography often appears alongside my digital articles, and I regularly publish them on my social media channels. I also work with conservation charities as a communications consultant and have been hired for a range of projects, from photographing a biodiversity survey in Mozambique to editing annual reports. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Cambridge with a masters of philosophy in conservation leadership, where I wrote my dissertation on "conservation storytelling," and am now based in London.back to gallery
