Darwin Falls
My main subject matter is waterfalls. There’s something serene about sitting next to one and feeling the energy of the water. I want to convey both the power and tranquility to my audience. In college, I was only allowed to shoot in black & white film. This has given me a deep appreciation for not only digital art and the process, but also color.

entry description
I have hiked to and photographed 230 waterfalls. When visiting Death Valley NP I knew I had to find the one waterfall there. I took this short hike on May 2nd and enjoyed the shade of the Cottonwood branch that extended towards the fall. However, just a week later the branch ended up in the water. Most believe it was caused from someone sitting on the branch. This would make the name of falls quite ironic.about the photographer
I use photography as a means to document my love for the outdoors; from hiking the Arkansas Ozarks, to hiking all over the United States – even some international travel. My goal is to create pictures that will inspire people to become more adventurous, as well as showcase the beauty I am blessed to encounter. My main subject matter is waterfalls.
