about the photographer
Arshia (born 11 Sep, 1983) is an Iranian-Canadian artist. Arshia began his interest in photography when studying software engineering in Iran. He graduated in 2007 from Aks institute of Tehran. Later moved to Canada in 2014 to begin his career as an artist. Since 2012, he has been developing his own projects, drawing his focus to the tradition of socially concerned photography, while also engaging with the radical transformation of photography of recent years.In his experimentation with metal, mirror, insects and human body skins he creates irrelevant repetitions. From his unique perspective, he has produced a body of work which deals with the complex reality of contemporary fine art in a way that defies categorization.
