Dawn at Two Trees
Road, stood Two Trees, an ancient forked tree, sitting on a vast flat plain of nothing. Here,
the sun could be seen rising between its branches. For the first time this season the dawn sky was covered with wispy cloud. A harbinger that soon rain would come cleansing the air of dust, and banishing the blood red sunrises for another season.
My fascination with photography started in the 1960s with the publication of the iconic image of a baboon in full flight turning to confront the chasing leopard. Today, the image still acts as a carrot on a stick, taunting me to achieve its standard with the taking of the next photograph. Combine this with the excitement of travel and the world becomes an amazing place, providing opportunity across the photographic genres of landscapes, cityscapes, events, portraits and wildlife.

entry description
It had been many months since the last rain fell, and fine dust hung suspended in the air, turning the dawn sky blood red. Seven kilometres from the Okaukuejo Gate along the OkondekaRoad, stood Two Trees, an ancient forked tree, sitting on a vast flat plain of nothing. Here,
the sun could be seen rising between its branches. For the first time this season the dawn sky was covered with wispy cloud. A harbinger that soon rain would come cleansing the air of dust, and banishing the blood red sunrises for another season.
