People of Murrebue
Girl child - … girls don't remain girls and innocent long. Married and pregnant by 14 not only shortens their childhood but limits their adulthood at the same time. This girl captured me when I saw her as even though she looked young, her face, expression, dress all showed a loss of innocence. All the boys surrounding her seemed natural along with her reaction to it.
Beauty in simplicity - This lady sells dry fish in Murrebue making sure nothing goes to waste. Even though their quality of life is simple and below the poverty line, they are the happiest people. They have what they need and make the most of it. They have death, sickness and tragedy all around, however they maintain a gracefulness and acceptance that allows them to move on enjoying the little things in life.
Young JOY - Children are EVERYWHERE. Small ones, older ones, barefooted and full of life - kids are running around playing all together with anything and everything they have. In this case you can see kids plating with a ball made out of layers and layers of plastic tied in with string - improvisation ball ben shared amongst many and enjoyed to the fullest.

entry description
Girl with Child - In this culture it is expected and common practice for older siblings to look after their younger ones from a young age. It teaches them responsibility, accountability and maturity early on. In part it also steals a way a little of their innocence as pretty quick in the chain they are looking after their younger and no one looks over them.Girl child - … girls don't remain girls and innocent long.
