Tiger Splitting Jacks
This image was taken at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas; a special place for seeing these majestic apex predators up close.
Richard believes that through sharing images of the amazing underwater world we can educate more and more people on the need for aggressive conservation efforts to protect endangered underwater species against illegal fishing, shark finning and ocean pollution.
His number one love is sharks. He has dived extensively with sharks and tells us they are not mindless killers, but misunderstood apex predators that have been mischaracterized by film and TV.
Richard grew up in Northern England and has resided in Michigan for over 20 years. He travels extensively to capture spectacular underwater images, the best of which can be viewed and purchased on his website, https://www.richardcondlyffe.com

entry description
Upon entry to the water I was greeted by the adrenaline rush of a female Tiger Shark circling me. On the previous dive I had observed schooling Jacks beneath the boat and a composition idea came into my mind. So as I descended for this dive I turned towards the fish... and my plan came together! The Tiger continued to circle and then cut through the fish, repelling them with hypnotic rhythm, creating wonderful shape around the shark. This image was taken at Tiger Beach in the Bahamas; a special place for seeing these majestic apex predators up close.
