entry description
In south of France in the 60s the artificial lake of Salagou besides the river Herault was filled for agriculture water supply. Therefore the citizens of several villiages had to leave the area. Some resisted but were forced to emigrate, also the citizens of Celles. The dramatic fault of the "experts": Because of wrong calculation the place was not fleed. So the people of Celles wanted to return. But they were not allowed. Endless law suits, demonstrations and protests followed. Today Celles is a forbidden ghost village with a bizarre one person administration. The real rural life will never return to Celles.Analoge, Canon FTb, Illford Delta 400 Professional, Hybride, scanned by Flextight/Hasselblad Scanner.
