Peaceful winter days in Lofoten Islands
Into this magnificent arctic scenery I was often attracted by cracks in the ice; I liked one of these, covered by a small layer of freshly fallen snow, which gived the scene a drama marked by the color of the ice and the greyness of the mountains lost in the clouds.
Morover, after five days of waiting, while I was on the way back a few miles from the airport resigned to not seeing the Aurora Borealis, my dream came true when I was coming out of a restaurant where I spent the last hours of my trip. The sky opened up and the snow-laden clouds gave way to a magnetic current that painted the starry sky of an intense fluorescent green. Just in time to make my photos and snow came back stronger than before. It did not matter, I had achieved my trip target and happier than ever before I went to the airport in order not to miss the plane departing for Oslo.

Although the weather and light were not ideal during the whole period of my travel, I tried to capture the dramatic winter conditions of Lofoten Islands and the contrast between the warm colors of fishermen's houses and of the surrounding vegetation and the more cold and tenuous ones of sky and sea.Into this magnificent arctic scenery I was often attracted by cracks in the ice; I liked one of these, covered by a small layer of freshly fallen snow, which gived the scene a drama marked by the color of the ice and the greyness of the mountains lost in the clouds.
