Entry descriptionRecreation explores man made spaces that emulate natural forms from the environment, i.e. water, and flat plains of land and ice. These are unnaturally formed spaces created by man in order to carry out specific pastime activities. The images are a reflection both upon the man made artificial space and comment on the society in which we live today.
All images are shot in analog format, and are from a larger complete series investigating various indoor and outdoor locations.

About the photographerStephen Connell works with longer than normal exposures, with and without the use of ND filters. Connell's work not only is beautifully captured but often varys a dual narrative.
