Beyond Natural Fractals

entry description
Among the most important elements of the beauty of wild plants are fractal patterns of growth, which are unique to each plant. We do not usually see those patterns because of many influences that vary from location to location and time to time. However, by paying close attention to our natural environment, we can occasionally see the effects of those patterns. The most beautiful effects of those patterns occur when they interact with each other, or with patterns of wind, light, and water, that may or may not be fractals in their own right. The images in this set are examples of different situations, either coastal or lake-side, where such interaction created a striking scene.back to gallery
