The Horses and Their Boy
I shoot Landscapes, Nature, Urban, Portraiture, Pets and Wildlife, etc. I don't believe in limiting myself to one or a few select things but rather whatever is available. That is not to say that I don't have my favourites or personal projects. I believe in creating the best images that I possibly can, no matter the subject or the method.

entry description
Children and their pets make the best subjects in my opinion. The title is a clear nod to the Chronicles of Narnia series by C.S. Lewis. This shot was taken early one morning on the rough Eastern coast of Barbados. I had been waiting all morning with no luck for something interesting. Then this group of young riders came down the beach, with a backdrop of sunlight and sea spray. All of them were children, (with the oldest looking around 14/15 years old) and they came on their horses. This little guy was the smallest of the group but amazingly he seemed to be leading everyone else. He was taking not just one, but two horses for their exercise and dip in the Atlantic ocean. He had them perfectly under control, even the one without a rider.about the photographer
The people around me and the world at large both inspire and fascinate me and I am continuously learning from them. My foremost aim is to represent my subjects and my connection to them honestly. That honesty extends beyond the mere photo and encompasses emotions felt, by me and/or my subject. To quote the great Ansel Adams, I believe that “a great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed”.I shoot Landscapes, Nature, Urban, Portraiture, Pets and Wildlife, etc. I don't believe in limiting myself to one or a few select things but rather whatever is available. That is not to say that I don't have my favourites or personal projects. I believe in creating the best images that I possibly can, no matter the subject or the method.
