This series is an ode to the five elements, namely, Earth, Wind, Water, Fire and Space(Ether). The five elements have crafted our planet, and mother nature as we know it. Each element, in its own way has sculpted the beauty we see around us and continues to do so. In these ever changing times where nature is suffering at the hands of man, I wish to showcase the beauty of these five elements as seen in some of the most spectacular and remote territories. It is because of the five elements that we exist today, and these five elements will exist even after our time.

about the photographer
Born and raised in Chennai, India, Sairam spent a large part of his life in the subcontinent before moving to the United States to pursue a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. After completing his masters at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Sairam moved to San Diego in 2011. Sairam has had a passion for photography that has been growing over the past few years. He is self taught, learning from the works of greats like Ansel Adams, Steve McCurry, Galen Rowell, Marc Adamus and many others. He has been published in various magazines, and has received awards from PX3, IPA, Stark Magazine and others.back to gallery
