Hiking in the Southwestern USA
Second Photo: Grand Canyon NP, Arizona, USA: I hiked to the bottom of the canyon and back up with my son in 2009. This picture is of the South Kaibab Trail when we were headed down to the bottom.
Third Photo: This picture was taken at sunset near Monterey Bay, CA, USA in 2008.
Fourth Photo: Jenks Lake, CA. I ventured out with my friend and her two dogs. I had hiked around the lake to get a better shot, and this was the result.
Fifth Photo: Death Valley, CA: In 2010 we stood at the lowest point in the USA, Death Valley, CA. This is a picture of the salt flats at Badwater just before the sun set over the snow covered mountains. I hiked out over the salt flats to get a better shot.

First photo: Angels Landing in Zion National Park, USA is only 5,790 feet (1,765 m) elevation, but this towering monolith called out to me when I was planning my first big hiking trip to Utah, CA in 2008. It was the last day of our week long trek through Bryce Canyon and Zion, Utah. I climbed the top, pulling myself up the rock one small step at a time. It was an amazing journey. I took this picture after hiking back down.Second Photo: Grand Canyon NP, Arizona, USA: I hiked to the bottom of the canyon and back up with my son in 2009. about the photographer
I'm an avid hiker who loves to explore everywhere from the lowest deserts to the highest mountain tops. I take a camera with me wherever I go, and I love to share images of landscapes that can't be seen without hiking miles from the road. God has made some amazing scenery, and I am never left disappointed with any time that I spend out in it.back to gallery
