On the 22 March 2015 I captured this image for my Architecture assignment with the Academy, The sculpture in the image is located at Broadbeach on the Gold Coast in Australia. I chose to capture this image for it's simplicity and the contradiction of Straight lines creating a curved work of art.about the photographer
Hi I'm Kathleen preferable name Kate, I'm 33 and a mum to 3 georgous girls 2 step kids, 2 Angels in heaven and a fur baby(our American Staffy, Destiny)I'm married to a wonderful man who's support means everything to me, I am a new student of Photography at the Acadamy of Design which I started on the 17 February 2015 having never really used a DSLR camera before. I use a Nikon D5500 entry Level camera with the Nikkor 18-55mm, 55-30m and 50mm prime lenses. I don't come from a photographic background but I've always loved photographs and what they are, a moment of time captured by the photographer in how they see the subject their photographing. Since starting my course and doing research for my assignments I discovered ND Magazine and have been truly inspired by some of the artists you have conducted interviews with. Every time I read a different photographers interviews the way I see the world changes slightly and becomes almost new again. I try look for the beauty in things other people just dismiss and walk past.back to gallery
