This was taken in Finsbury Avenue Square near Liverpool Street Station, London. I liked the symmetry of the lines converging into the distance at the top of the building. I wanted to capture the ‘softness’ of the steel and the elegant and symmetrical lines. I got in close to let the lines fill the frame and to remove any of the surrounding building. I also wanted to focus some attention on the centre of the image where the delicate lines reflect very slightly on either side. The natural light is coming from above but is quite muted so there is a subtle graduation in tone from dark at the bottom to light at the top.about the photographer
