Kaleidoscopic Still Life
The distortions and reflections are never constructed in Photoshop, but always by working with multiple reflections in mirrors and other reflective surfaces whilst capturing the photographs with the camera. This working method leading to surreal effects in my photographs leads to surprise and confusion of what is real or unreal.

entry description
The photograph is a media that is regularly used to portray reality. When seeing a photograph we therefore automatically presume it to be trustworthy and real. In my photographs I aim to play with our sense of reality by decomposing the space and objects within the picture frame. The distortions and reflections are never constructed in Photoshop, but always by working with multiple reflections in mirrors and other reflective surfaces whilst capturing the photographs with the camera. This working method leading to surreal effects in my photographs leads to surprise and confusion of what is real or unreal.
