MilkWars with Empress Leia
Since Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker are both offsprings of Darth Vader, what would happen if his daughter Princess Leia, who is connected to the 'force' went to the darkside. The Princess will enforce her rule and power and become an Empress. Like Emperor Palpitine, she'll become Empress Leia.
This was a conceptual project. The Model was completely nude and the Outfit was created entirely with Milk and dye.
Since we used milk, we called it MilkWars.
I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised by my encouraging and brave stay-at-home mother. She loved to watch a variety of Hong Kong TV series on VHS while I was growing up so I was exposed to different styles of visual creativity throughout my childhood.
Fast forward to adulthood, I was working as a researcher for the Medical College of Wisconsin, trying to develop a treatment for heroin addiction patients. One day during routine surgery on rodents, I asked if I could see myself doing this same thing in just ten years, and I couldn’t. After some soul searching, it became clear that now was the best time to start following my dreams. I just knew photography was my calling, so I quit my job and bought my first camera.
My goal is to be the photographer people go to when they have a creatively challenging project.

about the photographer
My name is Jun Tang and I am passionate about capturing moments in a photograph that tell a uniquely special story. From an early age I was influenced by the visual arts, but I didn’t realize my passion to be a photographic storyteller until a bit later in life.I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and raised by my encouraging and brave stay-at-home mother. She loved to watch a variety of Hong Kong TV series on VHS while I was growing up so I was exposed to different styles of visual creativity throughout my childhood.
