entry description
The Free Them! project is an authoral co-production between Brazilian fashion designer Fernando Cozendey and French photographer Paul Kurucz, founder of the kolor art collective. The result is a photo series denouncing the systematic exploitation of animals and indigenous people in Brazil and beyond. The roles of abuser and abused are inverted: humans are facing the cruelties by animals and native populations to which they usually submit them.about the photographer
Franco-Hungarian stage director and cultural producer turned photographer. Born in Budapest, raised in Paris, studied drama theory in the US, staged plays in the US and Hungary before launching the kolor project in 2011, a multidisciplinary cultural/art initiative gathering 12 different sub-projects ranging from experimental music sessions to multimedia talks and expositions, thematic outdoor parties in the most unusual places and authorial mini film festivals. The kolor project moved from Budapest to Rio de Janeiro in 2015 and is now focusing on photo production, with a provocative, theatrical touch.back to gallery
