entry description
For some time now, I have been creating photocomposites creating an uncertain or paradoxal feeling of reality. Do we really see what we look at, or do we really look at what our eyes see ? Is this fake or not ? This series proposes a challenge for the eye of the person looking at the photos. Textures, shades, illusions are proposed instead of an usual representation of reality. They have been created using many layers of different photos I have been shooting during the last 10 years. The five photos of this series are part of a solo exhibition I made in a gallery at the Belgo Building for the Visual Arts in Montreal in 2011. The were presented in large 6 feet formats so that visitor would have a 3D dimension feeling of entering into a world of colors.about the photographer
