Transposed
To change a relative place, perception or normal order of… Transposed is an ongoing series of abstract monochromatic works expanding on notions of reality.
A change in perspective leads to a change in experience. Momentary black and white horizon and coastal lines become distorted and rearranged through an emergent and transient practice. Each piece in the series allows the witness to embark upon new cycles of imagination and associations, providing an experimental chance to dream and envision from their own subconscious — to be transported into worlds of their own creation.

about the photographer
A change in perspective leads to a change in experience– known for their depth of concept and modern redefinition of fine art photography, Melissa Amber [b. 1983] + River Lee [b. 1989] examine contemporary art through abstraction & ideation. The women began their artistic collaboration known as SOTW in early 2015 while healing and overcoming life altering concussions together using the curative power of nature and art. Their subjects focus on self-portrait conceptual works, to pure creative abstractions of nature often with an ethereal feel. As a creative duo & family they offer a unique viewpoint and juxtaposed strength within their fine art. Often incorporating their backgrounds in design and love of black/white photography editors of Dodho Photography Magazine describe their works as having “Originality, Creativity, Execution Excellence and Global Impact.” Their original works have won them over 18 international photography honours/awards and are being shown and collected from North America to Europe.back to gallery
