DISQUIETUDE
My photography is more about abstractness than it is about place. I always introspect and reflect on the overall feel of where I am, this in combination with my own personal impressions of the moment. My memories are not always clearcut images of the past. In order to materialise my conceptions, rather than present specific individual images, I combine or reconfigure various aspects or fragments into a whole.
Regardless of circumstance, my photographs are more than simple visuals or documentations of physical appearance at specific points in time. Rather, my purpose is to convey the totality of personal experience through my work.

entry description
Disquietude is an ongoing project on visualising my restless state of mind. When i'm exploring a new environment I always have a feeling of uneasiness. A strong urge of wanting to know what's beyond the horizon, yet at the same time I get distracted by nearby scenes. While exploring I can't be in all these different places at the same time. Combining different scenes into one image gives me the freedom to visualise what's going on inside my head.about the photographer
