title
Fairy circles
This is exactly what happened to Thomas Dressler when he travelled for the first time to Africa in 1985. Today, his work has taken him to the far-flung corners of Africa, the most memorable and rewarding of these being Namibia and the Kalahari Desert.
Whilst this love affair with Africa is constantly being rekindled, other new photo destinations have been added in more recent years including southern Morocco, Southwest USA, Cuba, and Spain, with emphasis on its southernmost province Andalusia.

entry description
The so-called Fairy Circles are circular patches without any vegetation which according to recent scientific studies are caused by termites. These are aerial views taken from a hot-air balloon or a small aircraft at the edge of the Namib Desert during both the dry and the rainy season.
